Another week goes by and I think I have spent a total of about 20 or 30 hours in the hospital..... hahaha. An Elder named Elder Bentes has had a back problem and so we have been helping him out and taking him to the doctor and stuff. I wish I had more exciting stuff to say but we were pretty much in the hospital or in the office all week.
I can say that Wilton will be baptized next week and we are super excited! We also found a new family when we went out for the first time this week. We were walking around, didn't know really what to do and I just felt like we didn't have a purpose. Recently, our president has been pushing the importance of finding and baptizing families, so we decided to stop and say a prayer in the road. Elder Stevens asked for help to be able to find a family that was ready to hear our message. We then just stood there. We were trying to decide where to go. I was trying to see if I was feeling any kind of inspiration and suddenly I thought, hey maybe Elder Stevens is feeling something so I asked him what he thought. He said he was wondering what I thought... hahaha so here we were just standing in the middle of the road not knowing what we were doing there when out of nowhere a voice called us "Hey what are you guys up to?" all in english. I thought... WHAT THE FETCH hahahaha turns out this guy, named Emanuel, was a tour guide and speaks like 11 languages and he invited us to his house to talk to his "family" hahaha. We entered into his house and met a bunch of teenagers that apparently he takes care of because their parents (his sister and brother in law) passed away so he and his mother take care of them all. So we sat down with this super interesting group (emanuel with 21 years of age, Inez with 16, ben with 11, irene with 10) and they are all a family. Wow, I loved how our prayer was answered but not in the conventional way that we were expecting. Every experience is unique and every conversion is too. I love the work we are doing and I know that the church is true. Stay good everyone - sorry for the late email!
Update: They all came to church including Wilton and the oldest, Emanuel, went up during testimony meeting and said that he prayed and received an answer that the church is true and Joseph Smith was a prophet of God.
